LUNA SALADA HOTEL

This collection was designed for Luna Salada, a hotel in the world's largest salt flat, Uyuni, in Bolivia. Like many in the area, this hotel is almost entirely made of salt.

As the hotel is mostly white, my inspiration was to honor the colorful environment that surrounds the flats as well as pay homage to Bolivia's textile heritage.

In my designs, I reference Uyuni’s flamingo-populated red lagoon, the iconic Andes, and the unique patterns in the salt-covered ground. These colorful rugs and carpets would work wonderfully in contrast with the white of the salt walls and grounds, especially as a transition from room to room.
